Nairobi to Amboseli
Your Shanjoy Tours & Safaris driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7:30 a.m. and depart in a customized 4x4 safari Land Cruiser for Amboseli National Park.
The journey takes you through scenic Kenyan countryside with views of local villages and expansive landscapes. Arrive in Amboseli in time for lunch and check in to your lodge before taking some time to relax.
Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in one of Kenya's most iconic wildlife destinations. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and predators as you begin your safari adventure.

Full-Day Amboseli Safari Experience
After breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full day of exploration in Amboseli National Park.
The day may begin with an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village, where you will experience authentic Maasai culture through singing, dancing, storytelling, and interactions with community members. This cultural encounter offers fascinating insight into the customs and daily lives of one of East Africa's most renowned communities.
Continue with extensive game drives across Amboseli's diverse habitats, including open savannah, acacia woodland, wetlands, and ancient volcanic landscapes. The park's changing scenery, from broken volcanic vents to swamp-fed plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, makes every game drive unique.
Look out for large herds of African elephants, blue wildebeest, Grant's zebras, Cape buffaloes, Maasai giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Amboseli – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, check out and travel north through the Great Rift Valley to beautiful Lake Naivasha, the highest of Kenya's Rift Valley lakes.
Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,910 metres, Lake Naivasha is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, scenic surroundings, and rich birdlife. Dense stands of papyrus line the shores, providing habitat for kingfishers, herons, fish eagles, and hundreds of other bird species. More than 400 bird species have been recorded in the area, making it one of Kenya's premier birdwatching destinations.
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake. Guests may also enjoy an optional boat ride among resident hippos or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this picturesque destination.

Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley and arrive in the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. After checking in and relaxing, head out for an afternoon game drive across the reserve's vast plains.
The Maasai Mara remains one of the few places on Earth where wildlife still roams in numbers reminiscent of ancient Africa. The reserve forms the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem and hosts the spectacular annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, accompanied by numerous predators.
Enjoy your first encounters with the Mara's incredible wildlife before returning to camp as the sun sets over the savannah.

Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari Experience
After breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full day of wildlife viewing in the Maasai Mara.
The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions, healthy predator populations, and remarkable concentration of wildlife. It is one of the best places in Africa to search for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.
Throughout the day, explore different regions of the reserve while searching for wildlife and enjoying excellent photographic opportunities. Bird enthusiasts will also appreciate the Mara's extraordinary avian diversity, including eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, storks, and the impressive Kori Bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird.
An optional Maasai village visit can be arranged for guests wishing to further explore local culture and traditions.
Return to camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Enjoy breakfast before checking out and beginning your return journey to Nairobi.
