Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your Shanjoy Tours & Safaris guide will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel in the morning for the journey to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping briefly at one of the viewpoints to admire and photograph the breathtaking landscapes stretching across the valley floor below. Continue through the Kenyan countryside and arrive at the Maasai Mara in time for lunch at your camp.
After check-in and some relaxation, embark on an introductory afternoon game drive through the reserve. Explore the vast savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffalo, and the predators that make the Mara one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations.
Return to camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

After an early breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full-day safari adventure in the Maasai Mara.
Spend the day exploring different sections of the reserve with your professional guide, maximizing your chances of spotting the Big Five and other iconic wildlife species. The Maasai Mara is particularly renowned for its large lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and vast herds of plains game.
Depending on the season, you may also witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras move through the Mara ecosystem.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game-viewing activities throughout the afternoon.
Return to camp later in the day for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive around lunchtime and check in to your lodge before taking some time to unwind. Later in the afternoon, head out for an evening game drive beginning at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned for its rhino sanctuary, Rothschild's giraffes, diverse birdlife, and beautiful lake ecosystem. Keep an eye out for black and white rhinos, lions, buffalo, waterbucks, and numerous bird species during your exploration of the park.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, providing another opportunity to spot wildlife and enjoy the park's beautiful scenery.
Later, depart for nearby Lake Naivasha, one of the Great Rift Valley's most picturesque freshwater lakes. Arrive in time for lunch and check in to your lodge.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or choose to enjoy an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you may encounter hippos and a variety of bird species including fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers.
Guests may also opt for additional activities such as a guided walk on Crescent Island or a visit to Hell's Gate National Park.
