Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Your safari adventure begins with a transfer from your Nairobi hotel or the airport to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. During the scenic flight, enjoy aerial views of the Great Rift Valley, rolling hills, and the vast Kenyan countryside before arriving in one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.
Upon landing, your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to Mara Intrepids Camp with a short game drive en route. This first introduction to the Maasai Mara often offers exciting sightings of zebras, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, and even predators.
After lunch and some time to relax, head out on an afternoon game drive across the reserve’s spectacular plains. As the sun begins to set, wildlife becomes increasingly active, creating excellent opportunities for photography and memorable encounters.
Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay overlooking the Talek River.
Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive when the reserve is at its most active. This is the ideal time to search for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt across the open plains.
The Maasai Mara forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and is internationally renowned for its incredible concentration of wildlife. The reserve’s diverse habitats—including open grasslands, riverine forests, and seasonal wetlands—support a remarkable variety of animals and birdlife throughout the year.
After breakfast and relaxation at camp, continue with mid-morning and afternoon game drives led by expert guides who share insights into the reserve’s wildlife, ecology, and Maasai culture.

Another exciting day awaits with early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon game drives through different sections of the reserve.

Depending on the season, you may witness large herds of wildebeests and zebras, observe elephant families moving across the plains, or encounter lions resting beneath acacia trees. The reserve is also known for its healthy cheetah population and frequent leopard sightings along riverbanks and wooded areas.
Bird enthusiasts will enjoy spotting some of the more than 500 recorded bird species, including eagles, vultures, secretary birds, and colorful lilac-breasted rollers.
As the day draws to a close, enjoy another spectacular African sunset before returning to camp for dinner and your final overnight stay.
Day 4: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast while taking in your final views of the Maasai Mara wilderness. Afterwards, check out and transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi.
