Your grand East African safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you travel north through Kenya's diverse landscapes toward the rugged wilderness of Samburu National Reserve.
Arrive around midday and check into your preferred luxury lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. After a short relaxation, head out for your first afternoon game drive in this unique semi-arid ecosystem. Samburu is famous for its rare northern species and offers excellent wildlife photography opportunities along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, and some of the reserve's unique species found only in northern Kenya.
