13-Day Combining Kenya and Tanzania Safari
In the bushy and open savannah of East Africa, here along the equatorial tropics, lies an enchanted world where animals roam freely. This 13-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari will take you through these enchanted lands, so you can personally experience their mystical nature. Driving in a luxury tour Jeep, you will traverse through Kenya’s Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara game reserves. Later, experience the mystical foggy Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater areas, and Tarangire. Then return to the scenic Amboseli for a perfect view of the Majestic African elephants at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Tour Itinerary
Nairobi – Samburu National Park
Early morning drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Park in northern Kenya. Arrive in time for lunchtime. Relax as you enjoy lunch at one of your preferred Samburu luxury lodges. After lunch, proceed to a late afternoon game drive.
Samburu – Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, proceed to a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. There is the option of a morning or afternoon game drive, depending on your preference. Samburu offers an incredible game experience with a high chance of seeing the special Samburu five, which include gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.
Samburu- Lake Nakuru National Park.
After breakfast, leave Samburu and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at midday. Check in to your lodge and have lunch as you wait for your evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Leave Lake Nakuru in the morning and drive to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. Have lunch at your Lodge and then go on an afternoon game drive. At the Masai mara, you have a good chance to see the Kenya Big Five among other exciting games roaming freely.
Masai Mara – Full Day Game Drive
On a full day in the Masai Mara, you will visit the Mara River and spend the whole day in the wild. Enjoy a bush picnic lunch in the Mara open savannah.
Masai Mara – Open day
On this day, you can do morning and evening game drives. Relax and refresh at the camp/lodge during the day. You can also choose to do a Masai dance in a neighbouring Masai village for a beautiful Masai cultural experience.
Masai Mara- Serengeti
Depart Masai Mara in the morning and drive to Tanzania’s border. After the border entry processing, proceed to the Serengeti with our partner Tanzanian driver/ guide. You will have lunch on the way and then check in at the park to begin your game drive.
Serengeti – Full-day game drive
Full-day game drive at Serengeti National Park with parked lunch. Based on your preference, you can also choose to have a morning and afternoon/evening game drive.
Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Depart Serengeti early in the morning and drive to Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch. Upon arrival, begin your game drive; later, have lunch and continue with game drives till late.
Ngorongoro- Tarangire
After breakfast, go for a day trip to Tarangire national park with picnic lunch boxes. Explore the park on your way to Arusha.
Arusha-Amboseli
Leave Arusha after breakfast and drive to the Kenyan Namanga border. After the border processing, you will reunite with your Kenyan Shanjoy driver /guide for the second part of the Kenya safari. Proceed to Amboseli National park where you will arrive at midday. Have lunch and relax at your lodge before going to the late afternoon game.
Amboseli full-day Adventure
Start the day with an early morning game drive. This is an excellent time to see the peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Then return to the camp for breakfast and restful mid-morning. Later go for an afternoon game, aiming for the iconic tusked elephants, and other herbivores. By now, you will have seen almost every animal, if not all, on your bucket list.
Amboseli-Nairobi
After breakfast check out and drive back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport. This will mark the end of your 13 days of the Kenya and Tanzania safari with Shanjoy Tours.
