The Gerenuk, Grevy Zebras, Besia Oryx, reticulated Giraffe, and Somali Ostrich can be found only north of the equator in Samburu National Park, which is located in the 'northern frontier.' Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundant birdlife and home to the Rothschild giraffe and rhino, is an excellent place to stop as you travel from north to south.
